2 Days 'Till the Fun Begins

It is happening. Every day, we get closer to it, and the anticipation is both motivating and exciting. We have the mics, we’ve got the camera now, and the team is ready—and still growing.

In two days, the GrandValli Project, which I have decided to call the GrandValli Creative Collective, starts production. We are hitting the ground running. On Monday, we are doing everything times two—two photoshoots and two podcast episode recordings.

For all of you who have started your own thing, tell me—how did you feel at the beginning? What nerves did you have? What worries or concerns did you think about? What did you look forward to?

For me, right now, my biggest worry is that this idea or project won’t play out the way I imagined, and that everyone involved—or those who know about it—will be disappointed. If you’ve ever felt that way, do you have any recommendations on how to get through it?

One of the most empowering things about this project, which makes the doubt less intense, is the energy from everyone involved. Each person has agreed to be part of this without worrying about money or anything else. Everyone is in this for the experience and to say, We were a part of something. Creating an opportunity to tell stories while also connecting people and bringing them together is why I started this project. I truly believe there is value in trying different things and doing them alongside others.

With everyone currently involved, there are potentially ten lives now connected—and possibly changed. As this project grows and gains traction, I hope that number grows too, and that we can slowly build a community that evolves together.

If this entire project fails, at least we can all say we tried—and then we get up and try something else again.

I do want to make it clear that while we are only featuring five people right now, there are still opportunities to get involved in this project or another one in the future. If you know anyone who would be a great feature, have a theme idea for the next project, or know someone who wants to be involved, let me know! You can reach me at [email protected].

As we continue on this journey, I’ll be writing more and sharing ideas. One thing I’d love to ask—would you be interested in coming to a pre-screening and Q&A? I think it would be great to have a small gathering where you, my loyal subscribers, can meet the team and connect. What do you think?
